Annual/Monthly Salary Converter
Convert a salary between annual and monthly amounts, over 12 or 13 months.
How is this result calculated?
Direct conversion: monthly = annual / number of months and conversely annual = monthly × number of months. No social contributions, deductions or bonuses other than the chosen number of months are applied.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between a 12-month and a 13-month conversion?+
Over 12 months, the monthly salary is simply the annual amount divided by 12. Over 13 months, an extra month's pay is factored in (a common bonus in some companies or collective agreements): the same annual salary then corresponds to a slightly lower base monthly salary.
Is the 13th month automatic for all employees?+
No, it depends on the collective agreement, a company agreement, or the employment contract. This calculator simply applies the number of months you choose, without assuming your situation.
Does this calculator apply social contributions?+
No, this is a plain arithmetic conversion between annual and monthly amounts. To estimate a net salary, use the gross-to-net salary calculator.
How does this combine with the gross-to-net calculator?+
You can first convert your annual salary to monthly here, then use that monthly amount in the gross-to-net salary calculator to estimate an approximate net.
What is this calculator useful for day to day?+
It helps compare two job offers expressed differently (one annual, one monthly), or quickly check the equivalent of an amount.
